St Augustine’s Church 2017 My Page -
Revd. Canon Hick Hay
Hi, my name is Nick and I'm the vicar of St Augustines. I'm married to Lindsay with 3 kids and a mad white Alsation dog called Roxie.
I was converted at the age of 19 when, bizarely, God spoke to me on a double decker bus in Croydon South London. I then went to a church, went to the front and said sorry to God for all the wrong things I'd done, said I would do my best to follow Jesus, got baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Together with my wife Lindsay, I got involved in youth work and then became a vicar.
Before moving to St Augustines I was chaplain to HMP Ashfield (a young offenders intitute in Pucklechurch).
I love music (I still play in a rock band), going out and spending time with people I love (including my mad dog Roxie). I also dabble in poetry and stand up comedy and will pay good money to stand on a stage anywhere.
I hope , pray and believe that God will do great things at St A's and in our community, if you live in Whitchurch, why not come and join us for the ride?
